Changing of members: Coolidge started her career singing around Memphis, and Kristofferson started in Nashville. They met in 1970, married in 1973, and recorded several albums together. Coolidge’s greatest success on the pop charts came during 1977–1978 with four consecutive top 25 hits. Coolidge and Kristofferson then divorced in 1980. 

 

Awards and Accomplishments: Rita and Kris won two Grammy Awards together, and their greatest success on the pop charts came during 1977-1978 with four consecutive top 25 hits. Kristofferson won many awards in his career including Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, Grammy Hall Of Fame, and the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award, among many others.
